Lakewood Park: Summertime

The weather has taken a turn for the worse, so I am thinking more and more toward the summer. I went back through some old negatives and found that I spend a lot of time in Lakewood Park in the summer-time. Steph and I go to Nature's bin and pick up some Field Roast Mexican Chipotle Artisan Grain Meat Sausages and some red potatoes and grill out on most friday evenings down at the park. The sunsets have been wonderful, and Lake Erie is always great, whether in the summer or the winter.

Rock River Springtime

Early last spring I did a lot of wandering around rocky river metro park with my new 1940's era Argoflex E 120 camera. It feels so much like spring right now, I couldn't help but pull them out.

Lakewood in Bloom

Tulips and daffodils came on first, followed by the african violets and the flowering of the trees. Every day is breathtaking.

photos from the onset of spring

The winter recedes. Walkways emerge, snowmen melt during their nightly vigils, and the first dogwood blossoms show their clean and scrubbed faces. Springtime approches, what a relief!
